Meccanograph

As a kid in the 1970's one of the Plastic Meccano Nut's favourite Meccano models was the Set 400 Meccanograph.  Now many years later I've designed my own version of a Meccanograph.

My Meccanograph is based on a double-arm pantograph. The two driving arms connect to a flexible parallelogram arrangement which is anchored at the lower corner. The drawing table is rotated slowly via a worm gear arrangement.

The pattern traced out on the rotating drawing table can be altered by adjusting the relative starting positions of the two driving arms.
